    The latest edition of Saddle Hills County Living magazine is out and will hit mailboxes soon! All of the Saddle Hills County general stores, and the Saddle Hills County office also carry copies.

  • Saddle Hills Rec. Society among Winners of 2023 Grant Program!

    Congratulations to the Cotillion Butte Recreation Association!

    The Rural Communities Foundation just announced the winners of their $100,000 Community Grant program for 2023. One of the four communities sharing the grant money is Saddle Hills very own Cotillion Butte Recreation Association, who were awarded $32,000 towards the replacement of the Cotillion Hall.

  • 2023 Winter IT Equipment Auction

    The County has a variety of used IT equipment available for purchase by sealed bid. The highest bid for each item will be accepted, however the highest bidder of multiple items will have an option to accept any or all of their highest bids.

  • $3,000 Scholarship Opportunity for Post-Secondary Students

    The Professional Vegetation Managers Association (PVMA) has announced that applications are now open for the Keith Sanftlenben Memorial Scholarship.

  • Apply for a cash advance under the Advance Payments Program

    The federal Advance Payments Program (APP) has been expanded to accommodate a wider range of farming enterprises and producers can obtain up to $1 million per program year in advance, under the program.

  • STARS Annual Update

    Glenda Farnden, Senior Municipal Relations Liaison with STARS, was present at the October 10, 2023 Council Meeting to provide an annual update on the recent activity of the organization. This included the implementation of a new fleet, new innovation and technology, mission statistics, and other information pertinent to County residents.

  • Small Business Week: Resources for Business Owners

    Small business owners face many challenges. At Saddle Hills County we are proud of the tenacity and strength of our small business community and the talented individuals that dedicate their time to make their dreams reality.

    As part of Small Business Week, we have compiled some additional resources for small business owners to help them learn, grow, and thrive.

  • Alberta Investing in Nursing Skills Training

    The Government of Alberta is investing $11 million in nurse bridging programs for internationally educated nurses to help address current and future demand throughout the healthcare system.

    Through this funding, internationally educated nurses will have access to an additional 1,221 spaces at post-secondary institutions so they can complete the programs they need for certification in Alberta.

    In support of Women's History Month and Small Business Week we would like to introduce our amazing female entrepreneurs to some invaluable resources tailored to their needs.

  • Remembrance Day Transfer Station Hours

    The Bonanza, Blueberry, Gundy, and Woking Transfer Stations will remain open on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Transfer Stations will open at 12 p.m. (Noon) instead of the usual 10 a.m. Bonanza, Blueberry, and Woking Transfer Stations will be open 12-6 p.m. and Gundy Transfer Station will be open 12-4 p.m.
