Fire Restriction in Effect - June 17, 2025

As of June 17, 2025, the Fire Ban in Saddle Hills County and the Grande Prairie Forest Area has been downgraded to a FIRE RESTRICTION. This includes in Cotillion Park, Hilltop Lake, and Spring Lake.

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is now limited to campfires and burning barrels. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

This FIRE RESTRICTION will remain in place until conditions improve.

Assessment Re-inspections in Gundy, Happy Valley, and Woking Areas

Assessors, Brady Harder and Jason Gencianos, with Compass Assessment Inc., will be out in Saddle Hills County, during the week of August 11-15, 2025, continuing to conduct property re-inspections in the southern portion of the County, in the Gundy, Woking, and Happy Valley areas. Brady and Jason will be driving a grey GMC Canyon and a white Buick Encore respectively, both sporting Saddle Hills County decals.

Rotational re-inspections are carried out on a yearly basis, to verify and maintain the accuracy of the data on the Assessment Roll. Each year, approximately 25% of the municipality will be verified through this process.
