Have Your Say on Nuclear Energy Development in Alberta

Alberta is exploring the possibility of nuclear energy to meet the province's future electricity needs and is seeking the public's input via an online survey.

This survey is the first step in public engagement efforts and aims to better understand what questions Albertans have about nuclear energy, what topics matter most, and how they prefer to learn about nuclear energy. A second survey, scheduled for later this year, will provide further opportunities to share feedback and provide input on the government's role in any future nuclear energy development.

The deadline for submissions is September 25, 2025.
