Peace Officer Report March 2026

March Peace Officer Report

March included 14 working days (119 hours), Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work focused on areas flagged by staff and residents, including Road Use Agreement concerns and speeding.

Six speeding stops were made—five over the 100 km/h limit and one over the 50 km/h limit. All drivers had valid registration, insurance, and a licence. Speeds ranged from 20 to 34 km/h over the limit, averaging about 25 km/h over.
Commercial vehicles were monitored throughout the month, with attention to overweight loads and Road Use Agreement compliance.
Time was spent across:
  • 76.5 hours on patrol
  • 34.5 hours on training and admin (including First Aid certification)
  • 1 hour assisting with collision response (traffic control and scene safety)
  • 7 hours connecting with residents
Poor weather and road conditions helped keep overall speeds lower, with most drivers adjusting to conditions.
