Septic Awareness Week 2023 - Free Septic Sense Webinars

Do you have Septic Sense?

September 18 to 22 is Septic Awareness Week, and the Western Canada Onsite Wastewater Management Association (WCOWMA) is urging homeowners to practice Septic Sense by considering both what goes down the drain and how to maintain their septic system.

Properly designed and maintained wastewater treatment systems effectively reduce or eliminate most human health or environmental threats posed by pollutants in household wastewater. However, they require regular maintenance, or they will not operate properly. Struggling septic systems are expensive to repair or replace. Septic systems need to be monitored regularly to ensure that they are functioning properly and to ensure a lengthy service life.

WCOWMA is hosting a series of free webinars throughout Septic Awareness Week. Presentations will focus on the importance of maintaining septic systems, including operation tips. Homeowners will gain an understanding of how to care for their septic systems and potentially reduce costly repairs.

Webinars will be held on Monday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Practice your Septic Sense by joining WCOWMA for a free webinar. More information on the webinars can be found here: https://wcowma.com/septic-awareness-week-2023/
