Fire Advisory in Effect - April 16, 2025

As a result of the high temperatures and drying conditions, the Fire Danger Rating in Saddle Hills County is now HIGH.

In response to this, Saddle Hills County has issued a FIRE ADVISORY, along with other local municipalities.

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is now limited to campfires, burning barrels, and hand-piled wood, two cubic metres or smaller.

Burn permits are still required and will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Clairmont Landfill

Saddle Hill County residents may dispose of their waste at Clairmont Landfill located in the County of Grande Prairie for free, through and Landfill Tag System. In order to obtain a tag, you must first register with Saddle Hills County.
