Utility Communications Network

Our Utility Communications Network (UCN) consists of a series of high quality CSA certified towers that can accommodate multiple service providers. It is an open market and technology neutral model where wireless service providers including private enterprise may become tenants on the towers without having to invest in the tower infrastructure.

For information on County broadband initiatives please view our Broadband Strategy.

Mobility Services - TELUS Partnerships

The County continues its partnerships with TELUS to provide additional cellular coverage and high speed internet options for residents.

These partnerships resulted in the construction of the Saddle Hills TELUS Tower east of Savanna
as well as the installation of TELUS mobility equipment on the County’s Fourth
Creek, Ksituan and Sneddon Creek Towers.

Further, two new towers will be built in the Bay Tree and Blueberry Mountain areas.  Estimated Completion Date: August 2020.
